We've heard your feedback, and we've been working hard to make your workflow
smoother and more efficient. Many of you told us that managing long lists of projects on a
single dashboard can be cumbersome, especially when a single project has multiple parts and
different statuses.
We're excited to announce major improvements to Genohub’s project management interface, all
designed to give you better control and more visibility.
Introducing Service Orders
The biggest change is the introduction of Service Orders. A project can now have
one or more Service Orders, with each one representing a distinct part of the project.
What does this mean for you?
Clearer Status Tracking
Each Service Order now has its own independent status (On Hold
,
Confirmed
,
Started
, Paused
, Results Delivered
, and
Complete
). This means that both you and your customers can easily see
the status of each component of a larger project, even if they're on different
timelines.
Detailed Project View
On each project page, every Service Order is displayed in a separate card, giving you
a quick, clean overview of everything in one place.
Independent Timelines
Each Service Order has its own start date, turnaround time (TAT), and delivery date,
allowing you to manage each part of a multi-quote project accurately.
Streamlined Workflow Management
We've also added some powerful new features to give you greater flexibility when managing your
active work.
A Redesigned Project Dashboard
To go along with these new features, we’ve redesigned your project dashboard with new tabs to
make it easier to find what you're looking for:
- In sales: Projects that are still in the quoting phase (no service orders
yet).
- Ongoing: Projects with at least one active Service Order.
- Active Service Orders: All of your active Service Orders across all
projects, consolidated into a single view.
- Complete: Projects where all Service Orders have been completed.
What This Means For You
These features are now live and available. We’ve been busy behind the scenes converting all your
existing open projects to the new Service Order format, so you don't need to take any
action.
Moving forward, your workflow will shift slightly: instead of updating a single project status,
you will update the status of each individual Service Order. For projects that only have a
single Service Order, the process will feel just as simple as before.
We’re confident these changes will give you better control and a clearer overview of your
projects. We'd love to hear your feedback on these new features! Please feel free to reach out
to us with any questions or comments.
